Memberships for the FTKA has been raised to $50 per year. You get an FTKA rocker patch for your sleeve and your FTKA membership card signed by GM Trejo, for the year. You must renew annually, I don't sent out reminders! Lifetime Memberships, please ask.

As you may know, GM Trejo has been plagued by a number of illnesses, the major one being Kidney Failure. He has to have dialysis 3 times a week. He has been on a regimine of medicines and medical care for his diabetes and strokes that he has suffered not long ago.
Yet he soldiers on, as he always has! When he feels healthy enough, he still is teaching. He will get up to demonstrate a technique or do a form and seems like the big strong bear that you all remember!
But know this: He still faces the challenge of saving his life. He needs to have a Kidney Transplant. There are obstacles that he must overcome and the timing has to be right, but we pray that it comes soon. There is only so much that dialysis can do!
We would like to thank those of you who have helped to raise money for his medical expenses and medications and most of all those tedious living expenses, like food and rent (and now a cell phone)! But that money is not lasting forever.
We are planning more fundraisers in the near future, which will be announced on his facebook and web pages (mine, too, and please feel free to SHARE)!!
For those of you who wish to conduct your own fundraisers we are VERY grateful and will do all we can to get the word out so your attendance is at the max!

FTKA Member Patches
If you have had private lessons with Grand Master Trejo, then you qualify for his patented Gray Kenpo Shield Patch. This patch he designed when Senior Grand Master Ed Parker passed away, saying, "When Mr. Parker died, all the color went out of Kenpo."
The large one you can substitute on the front of your Gi for the color Kenpo Shield. The smaller one can be purchased by anyone, but cannot be worn on the uniform.

Quantities are limited, as Mr. Trejo has some of the patches but they are unavailable in his storage until he is able to get them when he is settled in a new home. (we need help with that, too!)
